Four people encountered a shark as they took to the waters off South Padre on Thursday, July 4th. A single man-hungry shark attacked four swimmers enjoying the Fourth of July on South Padre Island.
From about late Thursday morning to about 12:30 pm at least one shark attacked up to three victims within South Padre Islands city limits.
The last shark attack reported in the South Padre Island area was five years ago according to Capt.
